Latest News: June 20, 2008 Friday night we will be running all regular classes. Also racing will be the ATVs's in the Summer Thunder Series. So bring out your racing ATV and get in on the action. Thursday Night July 3rd 2008 Checkered Flag Speedway will host its 2nd annual INDEPENDENCE SHOOTOUT!! Specials for the night will include a $2,000 to win 200 to start Independence 40 Super Late Model Shootout. We will also be running Topless Crate Late Models more than 16 it will be 1,000 to win!! All other classes will be racing including Open Wheel, Outlaw Stock, Stock, Mini Stock, and Open Wheel Minis. Also for super late models there will be a 6 lap dash for cash in which six names will be drawn from a hat and after the six racers are picked they will then draw from six numbers to see where they start in the dash. Gates Open at 4 Hot Laps Will Begin At 7:30. April 6th, 2008 - Results are now posted from Saturday night's event. CFS will return to action next Saturday night with the O'Reilly USCS Sprint Cars and Rislone USCS Modifieds Plus Crate Late Models, Outlaw Street, and Mini Stocks. March 30th, 2008 - Due to continuing rains in the area, Checkered Flag Speedway will not race today. We will return to action on Saturday, April 5th with a Weekly Racing Series event. March 29th, 2008 - Last night's program was rained out shortly before hotlaps and due to excessive rain in the area Saturday, March 29th's program has been rained out as well. The SRRS Super Late Models are rescheduled for Saturday, August 23rd. A reschedule date for the SMP Open Wheel Modifieds will be announced in the next week. CFS is going to try and run tomorrow starting at 1:00 if the weather permits. It will only be our regular classes only. March 23rd, 2008 - Just 1 more week until the newly formed SMP invade C.F.S. with some of the areas top open wheel drivers with what is sure to be some fantastic racing. And then the SRRS Super Late Models will be practicing on Friday to prepare for there 1st race of the year with a 50 lap main event on Saturday night. Also in action will be the Stock and Mini Stock on Friday Night and on Saturday night we will have in addition to the Super Lates,the Outlaw Stock, Hummers, Crate Lates and the Open Wheels in a non points race under SMP rules. The starting times will be: Gates opening at 2:00 on Friday and Saturday and racing starting at 7:30 on Friday and at 5:00 on Saturday. Prices will be: General Admission $15 or $25 for a 2 day pass,Seniors and Kids under 12 $10 or $15 for a 2 day pass. Pit Passes will be $30 or $55 for a 2 day pass. March 21st, 2008 - Saturday, March 22nd, we will have an easter egg hunt for the kids at Checkered Flag Speedway. It will start at 12:30 and we will have prizes for all the kids. So be sure and bring out your kids for a fun afternoon at the track. Racing will follow at 5:00 with the Crate Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Outlaw Stock,Stock, Mini Stock and the Hummers. March 5th, 2008 - Due to the cold weather forecasted for this weekend, Checkered Flag Speedway will not be racing. Racing action will resume on Saturday, March 15th with a Weekly Racing Series Event. March 2nd, 2008 - Results are now posted from Saturday night's Season Opener. Checkered Flag Speedway will be back in action on Saturday, March 8th with a Weekly Racing Series Event. February 27th, 2008 - This weekend Checkered Flag Speedway will be kicking off the 2008 season. Here's the event details. February 5th, 2008 - The 2008 Purses and 2008 Schedule is are now posted. January 14th, 2008 - Checkered Flag Speedway will kick off the 2008 season on Saturday, March 1st when the USCS Open Wheel Modifieds invade the 3/8 mile oval. Crate Late Models Outlaw Stocks, Stocks, & Mini Stocks will also be in action. The driver's meeting is at 4:00pm with racing action at 5:00pm. CFS will have an open practice for all classes on Saturday 2/23. We will get started around 2:00pm and run until 8:00 that night. The admission for the pits will be 15.00 and free admission to the grandstands. Also anyone that wants to purchase a pit pad for the year can for 150.00 before 3/1. On opening night and there after the price will be 175.00. A full schedule for 2008 will be available soon. November 19th, 2007 - The 2007 season for Checkered Flag Speedway has come to an end. See everyone in 2008 with the Season Opener Slated for March 1st, 2008!!! November 11th, 2007 - Results are now posted from Saturday night's event. Checkered Flag Speedway will be back in action on Saturday, November 17th with a Weekly Racing Series Event PLUS a $3,000 To Win Super Late Model event.. Byron Michaels, the 2007 SRRS champion, will be in action as well as Terry English, Tanner English, Tony Morris, Ronald Dunn, Anthony Burroughs, and David Gentry.
